Tarantula Festival

and Barbeque

Saturday, October 1st, 2011

10 AM to 4 PM

Food served 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM

It's tarantula time!  Please join us as we celebrate with interpretive events and walks, demonstrations, children's activities, music, a raffle and delicious food.  We'll have fun and food for adults and children alike.

See above for meal selections.  All meals are served with barbequed beans, tossed salad, garlic bread and watermelon.  Bottled water, soft drinks, beer, and wine from a local winery are available for nominal prices.

Parking: $8.00 ($7.00 if anyone in your party is 62 or older), payable when you arrive.  Parking is limited, so please carpool if at all possible, but buying a meal ticket does guarantee you a parking space.

Directions:  Take the East Dunne Avenue exit off Highway 101 in Morgan Hill.  The Coe Park Entrance is at the end of East Dunne Avenue, 13 miles east of 101.  For more information, see our website at www.coepark.org or call (408) 779-2728.

Pine Ridge Association

The Pine Ridge Association was founded in 1975 to assist Henry W. Coe State Park staff in designing interpretive and educational programs and presenting the programs to the public.  PRA activities include guided walks, evening programs in the Visitor Center, and annual events such as the Mother's Day breakfast, the Coe Backcountry Weekend, and the fall TarantulaFest.  The Pine Ridge Association publishes a newsletter (The Ponderosa), maps, interpretive leaflets and books, and free informational handouts.
